Sebastian is a chef from Bogotá, Colombia, trained in Europe and now based in the Bay Area, with experience in kitchens such as Michael Mina, Lolinda, and Spruce.
Mecato began as a way for him to reconnect with the flavors of home and has grown into a culinary service company offering private chef services, meal delivery, and events—bringing together Colombian roots with global influences.


His vision is to build a thoughtful, high-quality food company rooted in seasonal ingredients—organic produce, responsibly sourced meats, and wild-caught fish—creating personal, elevated experiences from everyday meals to meaningful gatherings.
